All virtual consultations relating to your skin health are covered by provincial health plans and other insurance plans (confirm with your carrier), but not necessarily the associated procedures to treat them.
Nonthreatening skin lesions, like the removal of skin tags or benign cysts, are not covered by provincial health plans.
In other words, the doctor can assess your skin condition, but if the diagnosis is nonthreatening and you want to have it removed, you will need to cover the cost. The cost of procedures is typically decided by the doctor depending on the size, location, and number of removals required.
